It's time to join a festival street party like no other, Guacathon has arrived on Roblox and it's super fantastic! This celebration is a colorful, vibrant and exciting time to honor the life of Joaquin Oliver, who lost his life in the 2018 Parkland school shooting. This experience is focused around fun, engaging with friends, and expressing yourself both creatively and through music!
🌇 Urban Street Festival
The streets of Guacathon are filled with many party-goers who are here for the hype! Those who are more interested in the event are able to visit the info booth for a little more information about Change the Ref, what Guacathon is all about, and a few other things. The vibe out here is a happy one; after all, with a host like Joaquin you can't help but smile!
⭐️ Bonus note! Did you know that Guacathon's name comes directly from Joaquin himself? It's a riff on his nickname 'Guac'!
🏀 Hoop Jam & Paint Zone
While you're out there having a party, be sure to check out the mini-games that are available for you to compete in! First up, Hoop Jam is a basketball-themed experience that will test players’ timing, allowing players to toss some basketballs, and compete for a chance to reach the top of the leaderboards. Right across from Hoop Jam, you'll find the next mini-game! Paint Zone has players dip into an urban art event, racing through the streets while matching up the style of world-renowned artist Shepard Fairey’s artwork.
🎤 Virtual Concert
Yes, this is what you've been waiting to hear about, and we promise this is not going to disappoint! One of the most exciting moments that will occur during Guacathon will be a special virtual performance by rapper Denzel Curry. This concert invokes the true spirit of a block party celebration of life and brings the Guacathon festival to a new and exciting level.
🎙The concert will take place on August 5th at 6pm ET and will air hourly after that until 2am ET on August 8th. Don't miss it!
✨Merchandise
Special virtual merchandise will be launched with this event, including catalog items inspired by Shepard Fairey, Denzel Curry, and Change The Ref. A portion of proceeds earned from sales will benefit the Change the Ref foundation. There may also be some very cool new Limiteds you should keep your eyes out for... 👀
